Location Overview

Only a short walk from Sparta's archaeological museum, the Lakonia is a one of the best hotels in Sparta Greece. The hotel is located right in the heart of Sparta's modern city centre which was built on top of the ancient city in the 19th century and has a very orderly grid street layout with lots of palm trees and lush public parks. Although much of ancient Sparta has not survived, you can still visit the Sanctuary of Chalkioiko Athena and the Sanctuary of Orthias Artemidos, and go on a day trip to Mystra or over to the coast.
